Component Object Model adalah platform Microsoft untuk komponen software yang diperkenalkan oleh Microsoft pada 1993. Dipergunakan untuk mengizinkan interprocess communication dan pembuatan objek dinamis dari berbagai bahasa pemrograman. Istilah COM sering digunakan pada dunia pengembangan software sebagai payung istilah untuk OLE, OLE Automation, ActiveX, COM+, dan DCOM.
